We are pioneering Venture Finance, a new type of highly concessional, scalable asset-based finance that allows local governments, communities and businesses to lead diversification, development, and decarbonisation of their economies and drive sustainable economic growth.
We are a private sector, commercial enterprise. We expect to fund enterprises, either directly or fund public bodies, allowing them to offer, as one package, long-term Land Leases and ultra-long-term flexible, financially sustainable Term Venture Loans. Our focus is on highly speculative start-up enterprises pursuing a wide array of capital-intensive, technology-led industrial, agricultural, commercial, alternative energy and social investment initiatives. Where possible, both Land Leases and Venture Loans are offered at highly concessional interest rates.

Venture finance is enabled by a groundbreaking partnership with public bodies. This partnership is designed to increase local community participation in the development, diversification and decarbonisation of local economies. It taps one of our most ancient stores of wealth—land—to deliver long-term concessional funding to economically and socially valuable investment initiatives in unprecedented sizes, improving their financial sustainability and competitiveness. In so doing, it helps local communities, both urban and rural, address their most challenging economic, social and environmental investment needs.

Our mission is to help local communities advance socially, environmentally and economically, by availing once in a century financial wealth creation opportunities unfurled by a confluence of climate change, the 4th Industrial Revolution and global technology and industrial supply chain migration. We tap one of the most abundant and increasingly valuable natural resources on the planet—climate resilient land. Public bodies, many local, are amongst the largest landholders. We partner with public bodies to more effectively utilise their public land holdings, creating a compelling finance offering that attracts the highest value investment to their localities and maximises use to local resources.
We work with governments and investors to ensure that unlike earlier economic transitions, this time, local communities are not left behind.
Improving Enterprise Competitiveness
We package a Land Lease and a Term Venture Loan, which we offer to a wide array of highly speculative, capital intensive enterprises located in IMF Advanced Economies. Venture Finance is priced inside the relevant government's cost of borrowing, can be utilised on a standalone basis to meet up to 75% of a borrower's capital investment needs or be integrated as junior capital in an enterprise's capital stack to fill a viability gap. Venture Finance can reduce sponsor equity contributions. Enterprises can avail lower capital costs to pass on to consumers lower prices, improving their market competitiveness.
FUNDING
THE MOST CHALLENGING CAPITAL INVESTMENT INITIATIVES
Across our target jurisdictions, we plan to focus on development of the most economically, environmentally or socially critical public or private sector-led industrial, energy, infrastructure and commercial investment initiatives. Our focus initiatives will be highly-speculative in terms of their risk profile, will be highly-capital-intensive with significant pre-revenue investment needs, will deliver exceptional and immediate economic value to their local communities but will be struggling to proceed due to unavailability of sufficiently affordable funding. Venture Finance is well suited to investment initiatives exposed to high levels of technology, operating and market risk.
